Hammer Bullets™ are turned on a CNC lathe and use a unique solid copper blend that is designed for maximum terminal performance. Each bullet is weighed and micrometer measured as it is produced. The result is an incredibly consistent product with unparalleled quality control. The hollow point design initiates expansion upon impact, shedding petals immediately, with the remainder of the bullet staying intact with a blunt front for optimal wound channel. The bearing surface of Hammer bullets incorporates the patented PDR design (parabolic drag reduction). A continuous parabolic up and down curve, from the shoulder to the boat tail, reduces friction in the bore which equates to decreased pressure and the ability to achieve higher velocities. Each Hammer Bullet used in our production offerings are tailor-made for Weatherby ammo. We call these the Hammer Custom Bullets (HCB). HCBs in the Weatherby line-up feature unique bullet weights and not the standard 140 gr, 180 gr, etc. the industry is used to seeing. We found during development and testing that these custom weights produced the best accuracy and highest velocity making the Weatherby & Hammer combination deadly. HCBs are a modification of the Hammer Hunters and are optimized for Weatherby’s large-capacity cases and superior ballistics.
